Natural Relief for Chronic Health Issues

Acupuncture provides healing benefits for those dealing with acute issues. Regular treatment supports patients with serious health conditions that also require regular medical treatment.

Cancer treatment. Acupuncture helps relieve the side effects of conventional cancer care. Reduce chemotherapy side effects such as nausea, fatigue and peripheral neuropathy or ease the side effects of radiation therapy, including dry mouth, colitis, and pain.

Chronic pain. Pain issues, including spinal, pelvic and abdominal pain, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, are all responsive to acupuncture treatment. Chronic daily headaches, tension headache, and migraines are often very responsive to acupuncture.

Neurological problems such as stroke rehabilitation, carpal tunnel syndrome, Bell’s palsy, and peripheral neuropathy can benefit from acupuncture treatment.

Other issues that can be addressed with acupuncture are chronic fatigue syndrome, infertility, vertigo, kidney stones and recurrent respiratory problems.

Acupuncture is something to be considered as part of your treatment plan that will greatly assist you in reaching the best quality of health possible for you. To discuss your options, email or call 865.300.8125.

Acupuncture, Stress and Alternative Medicine

Acupuncture decreases the feeling of stress in the body by relaxing the energy channels, also known as energy meridians.  This gives the feeling of well being and alleviates many symptoms which arise from stress including:

  • Headaches and Migraine Headaches
  • Back Pain
  • Clenched Jaw
  • Addictions
  • OBGYN issues
  • Fertility
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Digestive Issues
  • Fatigue
  • Sleep Disorders

Acupuncture is part the array of Alternative Medicine therapies.  What makes acupuncture more effective, is that acupuncture directly engages the energy and the meridians at the root cause of imbalance.  The Acupuncture & Awareness Center of Knoxville, TN successfully helps people and children of all ages.

Healing Infertility with Acupuncture

When one’s energy is balanced, at a high level, vibrant and flowing well, according to the Laws of Nature, conception is far more likely and possible.  Acupuncture promotes this by balancing the endocrine system and its hormones to get to the root cause of female, or male, infertility.

Acupuncture treatments are gentle and produce virtually no side effects, unlike commonly prescribed fertility drugs.

Acupuncture not only reduces stress, but also increases blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, creating a stronger likelihood for conception and sustaining a pregnancy to full term.

The treatment is safe regardless of an individual’s medical history and can be used to treat any type of fertility disorder.

Acupuncture, Alternative Medicine … New Growth in Spring.

Acupuncture, Alternative Medicine … New Growth in Spring.  Living Stress Free.

In Nature, Spring brings on new growth.  New leaves and flowers bud, the chirping of birds can be heard more frequently, our activity increases and the amount of daylight is on the rise as the days grow longer than night.  Warmth increases.  Usually, there is more wind — more energy.

This environment gives us all more opportunity after the cold of winter. If one has been balanced and rooted during winter, the transition into Spring is easier.  Otherwise it can be turbulent.  Without roots a tree cannot grow, so too for a person.  To grow and evolve we need to be rooted in a healthy lifestyle and attitude, rooted in spirit and the Natural Flow of Energy.

Acupuncture maintains the positive upward energy flow so that when there are bumps in life, they are more easily overcome.  Some of us did not make the time to rest and rejuvenate during the winter.  Thus, our stored energy reserves are somewhat depleted.  Acupuncture will also restore your energy reserves.  When one is in a restful environment, it is easier to rest.  Seems like a no brainer; yet many live hectic lifestyles and don’t get the rest needed. And by that I mean the quality of rest we need.  Acupuncture helps this.

It is important to allow and make time for new growth.  This is the Natural movement of Spring.  Energetically, without Spring’s new growth, the fullness and joy that is naturally abundant and prevalent in Summer, is diminished.  This leads to a depressed emotional state, decreased energy, a decrease in the sense of wellness, and the beginning of illness in a variety of forms.  Just like a fire needs the proper amount and the proper condition of wood to flourish, so do human beings need the correct amount of Wood Energy, otherwise known as Spring Qi, to flourish.  Acupuncture treatment provides this energy, which should be neither too damp nor too dry.

When our energy is balanced we feel balanced, in tune, energetic, happy, stress free.  Our relationships are smoother, the bumps and stressors of life roll off. We feel free in the midst of our responsibilities, goals and aspirations.  When our energy is out of balance, diminished, blocked, too tight, too hot or too cold, too contained or not contained enough, then we can and will feel more stressed and generally not well.  Some of the symptoms that tend to show when these elements and energies are out of balance are:

  1. Stress
  2. Anxiety
  3. Headaches/Migraines.
  4. Back Pain.
  5. Allergies.
  6. Fatigue.
  7. Skin Conditions – Rashes, Psoriasis
  8. Various OBGYN issues.
  9. Cervical Pain.

The positive states of balanced energy, especially in Spring, are:

  1. Increased Energy for all activities.
  2. Taking on new projects.
  3. Well being and a feeling of wellness.
  4. A greater willingness to work through difficult situations.
  5. Strength.
  6. Flexibility.
  7. Feelings of Self Worth and a genuine concern for others.
  8. Balance.

Chronic Conditions most effectively treated at this time of year are:

  1. Fertility.
  2. Digestive Disorders.
  3. Addictions – Smoking, Alcohol and Drug Dependence, to name a few.
  4. Fibromyalgia.
  5. Muscular and Skeletal Issues.
  6. Stress.

When our energy is balanced, flowing and abundant all of Life feels good.  We have a direction, warmth, joy, friends, positive relationships, a sense of inner peace and integration. We will have a feeling of inspiration and the sense of being able to handle whatever happens during the day and year.  Balanced energy is necessary for a Balanced Mind and Bodily Wellness.

Try Acupuncture. Realize the benefits. The motto of Spring — Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Wishing everyone a beautiful and blessed day.
